Radio Rally in Western Australia held their annual gala over the weekend. The track was set up on a large flat grassy area which turned out to have very low grip. The race format would be a combination of rounds to decide the winner, so the pressure was on to have reliability and speed.

Having tested the XB8EC on dirt only, I used that setup as my starting point. The buggy was fast from the start, however a change to the soft white shock spring saw it really hook up... fastest of the day! The racing was intense and one mistake would be costly with the top three separated by only the smallest amount. XRAY proved itself the most consistent, and captured the win in every round.
